Let me tell you about me ...  My name is Betty Smith. I have worked for a number of Childcare centers throughout Fayette County for more than 12 years. I have also raised 2 fine children of my own that are attending UGA-Go Dawgs! After having spent so many years in Early Childcare, I felt compelled to open my own center. My desire is to provide the personal care and attention that sometimes is lacking in the larger childcare centers. I have completed the "Early Childhood Education" module at Clayton College & State University. The classes in the module included: Social & Emotional Identity of Children | How Children Learn | Physical growth Birth to 6 years. | Working with Children as a career | Developing Lang./Literacy of Young Children | Parent Involvement | Math & Science in Early Childhood | Creative Development Activities | Developing Self Image/Self-Control in Early Childhood | |
I am also, certified in CPR and First Aid and am an advocate of the State of Georgia requirements of Continuing Education for self improvement in Early Childhood Education. I feel that keeping up with all of the latest information on interacting with & stimulating children is the best way to help them learn in their early years!
